Launched at the Amsterdam Motor Show in 1958, the Series 2 Land Rover (also known as the Land Rover Series II) was originally designed as a simple update of the original. However, it quickly became so much more. Styled by the brilliant David Bache – who would later go on to design the Range Rover" – the Series 2 marked a serious evolutionary step for the Land Rover range.
