Range Rover Classic Specific Military Equipment
The history of the Range Rover Classic, like the history of the rest of the Land Rover company, stretches back to shortly after the end of the second world war. Following the release of the initial Land Rover (later called the Series 1) the Rover company came to understand that there was a market for an off-road vehicle with more amenities. Because of that realization, the Rover company launched several initiatives in order to satisfy this market need. However, there would not be any real sustainable success on this front until the release of the Range Rover in 1970.
The original Range Rover was a near instant success with the public, who appreciated the marriage of Rover’s military heritage and a new found appreciation for comfort and amenities, finding a wide fandom amongst both civilians and ex-servicemembers.
